As a culminating project for our spring units, you will create a book review blog.
- At least ten entries
- Each entry must be at least 150 words (except for poem)
- Appropriate tone, spelling, and grammar
Out of the ten entries, six will be on books of your choice and four will be on the following assigned topics:
- Review of Night
- Compare/contrast entry on Night and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
- Review of the book you chose for the “Your Choice” unit
- An original poem
Book reviews should discuss author’s craft in order to evaluate books. Use language arts vocabulary (protagonist, imagery, etc.) in your reviews.
You must turn in a signed permission slip by Friday, May 11th to create a blog. If you do not have your permission slip on that day, you will complete an alternate project.
It’s important to remember that whatever you put on the internet is visible to others; therefore, all blog posts and comments on others’ posts must be appropriate for school. If you post inappropriate content on your blog or anyone else’s you will receive a “zero” for the project and you will be reported to administration.
